GREAT FAITH

I wrote sometime ago the things that constituted an advantage to me and one of them was "great faith". I wrote that I had faith and l'd call it "great faith".

Today I see a case study of great faith-Abraham. Can I really say my faith matches up to that of Abraham?

If God sent me to Jigawa today will I get up very early tomorrow and be on my way or will I try first to find Contacts of who might know somebody that knows Somebody that stays in Jigawa where I can lodge and then find my bearing?

The difference between me and Abraham is that I might do the above of finding safety in human contacts (which isn't bad- I'm showing faith in even going ahead to Jigawa to do What God has sent me) but Abraham will just get up without letting anyone know and 'just go. When he gets there, God will know what to do with him. If he has to sleep under the bridge in the cold then that's fine because the Lord will protect and clothe him and if he gets lucky then God can send a stranger to be his helper/shelter but the goal is to immediately get up and hit the road for Jigawa- Now that is great faith.

It was easy for Abraham to "sacrifice Isaac" when he got to that mountain because he had cultivated his faith over time. He had trained himself to 'trust and obey' blindly. Great faith is when God demanded Isaac (what Abraham Loved the most) as a burnt offering and immediately Abraham set on the journey to the alter of sacrifice to give up what he had "prayed and waited for".

I'm not sure my faith is great enough to offer up "my Isaac" but my mentor Abraham knew too well that "The Lord Will Provide" to not give up his Isaac at the alter of sacrifice and that my dear Plangdes is GREAT FAITH...
